ESSEX Book Festival is launching an array of events throughout the county for all book lovers everywhere.
This annual festival will run throughout March and includes more than 100 events for people of all ages to enjoy, held in libraries, theatres, hotels and lecture halls.
Essex County Council established the festival in 1999, and it is now run by a charitable trust based within the centre for creative writing at the University of Essex in Colchester.
Some of the events include talks by best selling authors such as Sally Magnusson, Jane Harris and Elly Griffiths.
Councillor Susan Barker, cabinet member responsible for libraries, said: ‘From children’s storytelling and discussions with debut and best-selling authors, to the exciting Essex Authors Day at Chelmsford Library, there is something for everyone.’
The Essex Book Festival brochure is available on the festival website or from libraries countywide. Bookings can be made online, by phone or at individual participating libraries.
