Essex Police: Merry ‘Crookmas’

Essex Police Advent Calendar Promo.

ESSEX Police have released an Advent calendar with a difference – appealing for information regarding Wanted people.

In a bid to reduce the number of Wanted people in West Essex, Essex Police are releasing a themed Advent calendar, which will show a Wanted person each day.

The calendar will run from December 1 to Christmas Eve, releasing an image and key information every day on social media regarding the Wanted individual, using the power of the public to locate the offenders.

This will give the Wanted people a chance to come forward and hand themselves in, rather than get arrested in a public place.

Chief Inspector, Richard Baxter.

Chief Inspector Richard Baxter, stated, ‘We have a number of people wanted in the west and want to highlight what offences they have committed and why they are wanted. They will have the opportunity to come forward but if they don’t we will continue our search for them.’

He continued, ‘Public appeals for information have previously proved successful and we’ve chosen the Christmas period to highlight those who are wanted to appeal for help in catching them before Christmas.’

If you have any information regarding the missing people, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
