Harlow’s Pets’ Corner brings the Christmas Spirit

CHRISTMAS has already arrived in Pets’ Corner with the latest guests – two baby reindeers born this year.

Three of Santa’s reindeers have landed at Harlow’s own petting zoo, with Sparkle 3, Harper, and Twinkle, both born in June, having their own private pen. Visitors can see the latest additions for the foreseeable future. There is also the availability to book a reindeer for a visit to a school or an event from £245.

Tommy King, 19, Animal Care and Business Enterprise Apprentice from Harlow, stated, ‘The new baby additions should bring more people to Pets’ Corner this winter and in the future, watching them grow into adults.’

The festivities continue with the Friends of Pets’ Corner running the Winter Craft Fair on the November 12, with stalls and tombola along with the Annual Nativity Play in December by the Phoenix Theatre School, with guest appearances from the animals.

And the big man himself, Santa Claus, also has his annual appearance with the chance to visit him and collect a goody bag, for the price of £3 per child with under-twos free.

Harlow citizen, Karen Marsh, 58, a volunteer with the Friends of Pets’ Corner, commented, ‘Santa is always very popular with children flooding to see him along with his reindeers. For £3, what a bargain!’

What better way to start the festive season than a visit to Harlow’s Pets’ Corner?
