Education Minister Nick Gibb visited the Holy Cross Catholic Primary School in Harlow before the General Election.
Sue McGuiggan, Head teacher, welcomed the ‘opportunity to have a frank and open discussion about the issues facing Holy Cross and schools nationally’. Although it seems that Holy Cross will benefit from the new Fair Funding Formula she is unable to comment at this stage as she needs to study the figures more closely. She is also aware that as a growing school they will also have additional needs going forwards.
Mr Gibb and Robert Halfon, the conservative candidate for Harlow, had a tour of the school and met children, members of staff and others from the extended school community.
